What Size Dumpster Do You Need?
Determining the right dumpster for your project depends on how much waste you have to get rid of. Dumpsters sizes are measured in cubic yards. How Do You Calculate Dumpster Size?
The exterior of our dumpsters are the same length and width. However, the thing that makes each bin capable of holding more waste is the height of the container. The height significantly increases the volume it will hold. To calculate the size of a dumpster, multiply the length x width x height. This will give you the volume in cubic feet. Then divide that number by 27 to convert cubic feet to yards.
Use the illustrations above to help you visualize how many cubic yards will fit into a dumpster. Each pickup truck load is just shy of 2 cubic yards.
